let us tell you a story...

Although we may be filmmakers by trade, we are storytellers by nature. Venture into our world and let us weave a tale for you. We will tell you about life and love and fear and pain. We will show you laughter and tears, the devil and God. The story is the lifeblood of our world and nothing matters more.
…So lean close, and let us tell you a story.

sharing “twine” invitations

To those brave souls who desire to be in the edge of something new, even if it fails miserably, I have something for you. I have recently been invited to join Twine, a new social bookmarking site. It’s an interesting twist on the matter, allowing for individuals to create themed Twines that allow information that is filtered by other users. The site is invitation only as it is still in it’s beta testing. I have 25 invitations that I would like to pass along. Here’s the deal. I’m not interested in wasting them to people who will tinker with it for a few minutes, then dump it to go play WOW. How about the first 25 people who ask NICELY and are actually interested and willing to figure it out and use it get to have the invitations. Once you’ve signed up, be sure to find my twine here and join

Hope to see you there!

P.S. If you write your request in some sort of poetry, it will have a MUCH better chance!!

is social networking the new distribution?

It comes down to eyeballs really.

Let’s start by taking away all the current trends. All the Facebooks, Myspaces and Twitters. Get out of your head the Linkedins and Youtubes. Like it or not, today’s internet is not by any means tomorrow’s internet. So roll your eyeballs and get those specifics out of your head so we can have an intelligent conversation.

Social networking, by it’s definition is a network of individuals that connect to one another. I’m paraphrasing here, but you get the idea. A bunch of individuals all hanging out and connecting based on something they all have in common. This can by anything, from taste to music and film, down to the desire to just be connected.

Eyeballs looking at one another.

Speaking with each other, connecting and growing with one another. A sea of individuals giving one another their precious attention spans, sharing with each other likes and dislikes. The community has grown and continues to grow. Peoples real lives transcribed through ones and zeros and there for anyone to pick up, scrutinize and engage in.

Enter the artist.

production begins on “robert the robot”

Whitestone has begun preproduction on a short film entitled “Robert the Robot”. It’s about a robot who was made many years ago, and in his prime was the greatest thing around. But soon life has caught up and he’s been out dated. Until one day, just before he’s destroyed, he finds his real purpose.
The film has gone into principal photography, and will be released in a few weeks.

We will be doing a LIVE BROADCAST of our filmshoot on Friday, July 18th, at 5pm E.S.T.

Be sure to check back for real time updates on the filming and production of Robert the Robot, (we’re really trying to get much better at that!)
In the meanwhile check out some behind the scenes photos and screen shots from the film.
