whitestone presents: awake o’sleeper

Ladies and gentlemen, we are very proud to present our latest short film “Awake O’Sleeper”

A Hero comes from the wilderness to cry out to the captives, pleading for them to awaken. This short film from Whitestone was in part inspired by “Plato’s Cave” and depicts the struggle of freeing the captives, whomever they may be. This film is set to the song by the same name originally written for this film by the talented Wright Brothers: Nicholas Kirk and Billy Wilkerson.

Do you hear the Lion roar?

Download the mp3 of the song here.

Download an iPod/iPhone version of the film here.

Download an HD Apple TV version of the film here.

To watch the film online in HD, you can check it out here at Vimeo.

(We’ll be uploading behind the scenes photos soon.)

Additional credit: Luanne Dietz: Still Photography and Assistant Color Grading.
We are working on a behind the scenes documentary of the making of Awake O’Sleeper, so be sure to check back for that soon.

Wow..truly inspirational. There’s a touch of “old Hollywood” that makes this more than a video.. it’s a real work of art, very tasteful and classy.

…there are no precise words to describe the critique, creativity, and passion-driven work of “Awake O’Sleeper”. [I heard about the new video from my aunt who attends 12 Stone Church, although I do not reside in GA. I live in Nashville, TN and am a student at Belmont University.] I’ve been a supporter and fan of this film company for about a year now, so of course I was naturally interested in the new things that were happening. Ever since the first time I’ve watched this one, I have spread it around to all who I could like wildfire –> from my roommate to MySpace to Facebook to strangers alike. I LOVE what you all are doing at Whitestone and am proud to promote your unending, undying touch with the screen. Thank you for being an inspiration to me every morning. Because now, I go to class singing: “Let no man bring me harm. I bear the marks of Jesus.” and etc, with all seriousness–like the Hero in the video–as people pass me in confusion. *laughs*

God be with you always. :o)

Wow…great film! I knew the film would be good, but it looks even better than I could have ever imagined. Whitestone Motion Pictures truly did a wonderful job with this film and I am so happy that I was able to play a part in it. Continued success guys…

Side note: It’s been over a month since we shot the film and I’m still humming the “Awake O’Sleeper” song in my head…LOL.

Great gritty video. I blogged about how amazing it is…as well as my concerns with the last 10 seconds. Any responses here or there are welcome.
